Experimental investigation of an inclined-condenser wickless heat pipe charged with water and an ethanol-water azeotropic mixture

► An inclined condenser wickless heat pipe thermal performance has been characterised. ► The use of the ethanol-water azeotrope, as a new working fluid for heat pipes, is reported. ► The variation of the heat pipe thermal resistance with operational conditions is reported. ► The wickless heat pipe wall temperature profiles, for various operation conditions, are characterised.
