Characterization of aerosol emissions from CO2 capture plants treating various power plant and industrial flue gases

Intercooling lowers the partial pressure of MEA in both absorber and water wash significantly. This reduces the droplet growth and MEA content. The combined effect is a strong reduction in MEA emissions; in the case of 20% CO2 in the flue gas, by a factor of 5-10.
