Impact of fly ash on monoethanolamine degradation during CO2 capture

- The presence of leached iron in the fly ash was responsible to boost oxidative degradation.
- The rates of formation of the products formed were much higher with fly ash compared to MEA alone.
- Possible structures of new compounds were proposed based on the high resolution TOF mass spectra.
