Simulation and parametric study of post combustion CO2 capture process using (AMPÂ +Â PZ) blended solvent

- (AMP + PZ) solvent based CO2 capture process simulation was carried out in Aspen Plus.
- Model validation using pilot plant data; simulation energy demand of 3.7 kJ/kg CO2.
- Parametric study for T, P, composition, L/G, rich - lean loading, column height, etc.
- Split of reboiler heat duty into stripping steam, heat of absorption, sensible heat.
- (AMP + PZ) solvent has lower heat of absorption compared to MEA.
