Pore system changes during experimental CO2 injection into detritic rocks: Studies of potential storage rocks from some sedimentary basins of Spain

Intergranular clay matrix detachment and partial removal from the sandstones sample due to supercritical CO2 input: release drag forces and changes in electrical-polarity forces. The results obtained in the CO2-treated (b) samples indicate a porosity increase (n = 3.75%), compared to the fresh rock (a).
