Influence of steam partial pressures in the CO2 capture capacity of K-doped hydrotalcite-based sorbents for their application to SEWGS processes

► Three K-doped hydrotalcite-based materials were considered in this work. ► We studied the influence of steam in the CO2 capture capacity of the sorbents. ► Increasing steam partial pressure increases the sorption capacity of materials. ► Reconstruction of hydrotalcite structure was observed upon high steam contents. ► Formation of magnesium carbonate was suspected.
