Cyclic operation of a fixed-bed pressure and temperature swing process for CO2 capture: Experimental and statistical analysis

► Activated carbon was assessed for the separation of CO2 from pre-combustion gas. ► Experimental and statistical analysis of the adsorbent performance was conducted. ► A set of mathematical equations that describe the studied process was generated. ► Interaction effects between independent variables on the responses were not found. ► A maximum CO2 purity of 91.59% was obtained in the considered experimental range.
