CO2 capture in natural gas combined cycle with SEWGS. Part B: Economic assessment

► Economic assessment of SEWGS is performed and compared to reference capture processes. ► Specific investment cost of pre-combustion capture processes are penalized by additional equipment for reforming section. ► SEWGS cost share is less than 15% of the total plant cost. ► SEWGS sorbent capacity is critical since it can reduce the cost of CO2 avoided of 30%. ► Cost of CO2 avoided of SEWGS is in the range of post-combustion capture via MEA and about 49 €/tCO2.
