A comparative study on the feasible use of recycled beverage and CRT funnel glass as fine aggregate in cement mortar

► It is a clean recycling approach to incorporate untreated CRT and other types of glass for the production of cement mortar. ► The influence of recycled glass content on mechanical properties of mortar was investigated. ► CRT-mortar showed superior x-ray radiation shielding property. ► Incorporated CRT glass in the cement mortar matrix able to immobilize the lead to some extent.
