Short-term prognostic value of serum neuron specific enolase and S100B in acute stroke patients

► Serum NSE and S100B were not associated with stroke severity on admission. ► NSE was associated with functional neurological outcome at 2 months in stroke. ► High S100B on admission was related with depression symptoms at 2 months in stroke.
