Soluble serum Klotho in diabetic nephropathy: Relationship to VEGF-A

► We compare Klotho in diabetic patients and controls. ► We describe for the first time serum Klotho in diabetic patients with nephropathy. ► Klotho is influenced by the presence of kidney disease, GFR and albuminuria. ► We also describe serum VEGF-A in our cohort. ► We describe for the first time correlation of serum Klotho to VEGF-A in diabetes.
