Stabilization of cell-free RNA in blood samples using a new collection device

► We compared the effect of two different blood collection tubes on cell-free mRNA. ► K3EDTA was compared to Cell-Free RNA BCT, which inhibits RNase and stabilizes cells. ► Blood drawn into K3EDTA showed significant changes in RNA concentration. ► Blood drawn into BCTs mitigated changes in RNA concentration.
