Laccase-mediated system pretreatment to enhance the effect of hydrogen peroxide bleaching of cotton fabric

► We developed a cost efficient and environment-friendly bleaching process (LMS-HPBP). ► LMS-HPBP reduced half of the dosage of H2O2 compared to conventional method. ► LMS-HPBP reduced the bleaching temperature by 30 °C compared to conventional method. ► LMS-HPBP reduced the bleaching time by 33% compared to conventional method. ► The “green” short-flow process was also developed in pretreatment of cotton fabric.
