Effect of clonidine in mice injected with Tityus discrepans scorpion venom

► We studied the effects of clonidine in mice injected with Tityus discrepans venom. ► Clonidine reduced serum amylase, blood urea nitrogen and serum creatinine. ► Clonidine reduced the degranulation of pancreatic acini induced by the venom. ► Clonidine synergized hyperglycemia and did not affect leukocyte cell count.
