Decentralised CD38 activation monitoring: Aspects of practical implementation and standardisation

► Transfer of a research CD38 flow cytometry assay to a routine PLG/CD4 testing laboratory. ► Stability of assay was tested and confirmed up to 48 h after venesection. ► Implementation at routine laboratory was successful. ► Assay is a reliable and real time supplementary test to viral load testing.
