Transcriptional profiling of TLR-4/7/8-stimulated guinea pig splenocytes and whole blood by bDNA assay

► We evaluate the QuantiGene assay on guinea pig samples as an alternative to RT-PCR. ► Quantigene permits mRNA quantification from diverse tissues in high-throughput. ► Gene expression can be measured with or without mRNA purification. ► TLR-4/7/8 agonists upregulate guinea pig Th1-polarizing cytokines and chemokines. ► Guinea pigs are a relevant model for examining responses to TLR-4/7/8 agonists.
