Screening and characterization of new monoclonal anti-benzo[a]pyrene antibodies using automated flow-through microarray technology

► A total number of 110 generated hybridoma cells were screened for specific antibodies. ► Different techniques were compared to identify specific monoclonal antibodies. ► A new automated flow-through direct chemiluminescence immunoassay was developed. ► The new method was very fast, sensitive and used only nL-volume of supernatant. ► Six high affine antibodies with different cross-reactivities were identified.
