A morphometric study concerning the branching points of the main arteries in humans: Relationships and correlations

Our data support the view that the final position and length of the arteries might be due to the location of the corresponding viscera during angiogenesis, to the body length and height and to some (hypothetical) elongation angiogenetic factors.
