The functional activity of inhibitory G protein (Gi) is not increased in failing heart ventricle

► Muscarinic accentuated antagonism is not increased in HF ventricle. ► Inactivation of Gi does not restore βAR inotropic effects nor AC activity in HF. ► Simultaneous inhibition of Gi and PDE3,4 is sufficient to evoke an inotropic effect.
