Expression pattern and signalling pathways in neutrophil like HL-60 cells after treatment with estrogen receptor selective ligands

► ERα, ERβ and the newly identified GPER are present in neutrophil like HL-60 cells. ► GPER agonist G1 induces c-fos in an Erk dependent pathway whereas estradiol acts via both Erk and PI3 kinase pathways. ► Estrogen receptors are functionally active and are involved in key physiological functions in neutrophil like HL-60 cells.
