Integrative treatment package for degenerative disc disease in the lumbar spine: A retrospective case series

This study describes the use of acupuncture-related modalities and raises the possibilities of their use in combination therapy for the improvement of function and pain management in patients with DDD. In light of these promising results, future clinical trials with attention to appropriate patient selection, guidelines for integrative treatment, and optimal standards for outcome measurement are necessary to evaluate the effectiveness of integrative treatment.
