Compton scattering of the accelerator radiation in cylindrical cavity wall

Starting from the Klein–Nishina relations describing Compton scattering there was calculated the intensity distribution of the radiation incoming from the cylindrical cavity wall. The calculations were carried out at first – as completely incoherent and next – assuming the possibility of the caustics arising. Its results, compared with the experimental ones, confirm the above supposition.
