Investigation of Cholesteric Liquid Crystals and Carbon Nanotubes Additives on Mineral Oil Antifrictional and Rheological Characteristics

Tribological investigations of lubrication compositions containing additives of cholesteric liquid crystals with carbon nanotubes have been performed. The influence of rheological properties of lubrication compositions on their tribological characteristics has been determined. The possibility of synergetic antifriction activity of these two types of additives has been found.
