Wirusowe zapalenie wÄ troby typu A jako czynnik etiologiczny niedokrwistości aplastycznej

Hepatitis A is a one of the frequently infectious diseases in the word. About 93% children in Poland before 15 years old have not antibody against hepatitis A virus (HAV). Complications after hepatitis A are: aplastic anaemia (AA), cholecystitis, acute renal failure or acute liver failure frequently leading to death. Aplastic anaemia is estimated to develop in about 0,3-8% children with hepatitis A and connection with very severe course and mortality about 50%. AA was recognised in 81 children in the both centres between 1990-2006 years. In 6 patients aplastic anaemia was result of hepatitis A. 2 children had family haematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT) and 4 received pharmacotherapy. At present 3 patients are in the remission of AA (one after HSCT) and 3 patients died.
