Relationship between localization of proteoglycans and induction of neurotrophic factors in mouse dental pulp

These data suggest that heparan sulfate proteoglycans, such as perlecan, enhance the expression of GDNF by facilitating FGF-induced Erk1/2 signaling in the subodontoblastic layer.
