- Developed in three stages the migration was continuous, with two important slowdown periods.
- Advancing tectonic uplift is the main factor forcing the basinward shifting of the Carpathian Foredeep area.
- Magmatic and tectonic Carpathian migration processes acted at the same time with the Carpathian Foredeep migration.
