Mechanosensitivity before and after hysterectomy: a prospective study on the prediction of acute and chronic postoperative pain

Preoperative pain sensitization as reflected by cutaneous and vaginal hypersensitivity is associated with acute pain after hysterectomy, but less so with persistent pain.
