Lipophilic β-adrenoceptor antagonist propranolol increases the hypnotic and anti-nociceptive effects of isoflurane in a swine model

Propranolol alters both the hypnotic and anti-nociceptive effects of isoflurane. In contrast to landiolol, lipophilic β-adrenoceptor antagonists may increase the potency of inhalational anaesthetics.
