Nafcillin versus cefazolin for the treatment of methicillin-susceptible Staphylococcus aureus bacteremia

Cefazolin was associated with lower nephrotoxicity and similar treatment failure rates compared to nafcillin suggesting that cefazolin is an appealing first line agent for most MSSA bloodstream infections.
