High-level doses brought by cosmic rays

Among many factors which bring high-level radiation in our environment, cosmic rays hold a unique status because we cannot catch sources. Nevertheless, we are exposed tremendously in case we go into space. Even on the ground surface, we are exposed to high-level radiation if we climb high mountains. One of the most important things which people are interested in will be airplane dose. If one flies to anywhere in the world, it will bring large dose. Of course, if we are astronauts, for example, we are target of cosmic ray exposure. After all, we will be unable to go beyond Pluto, the end of solar system, because we will receive 70 Sv which equals to cancer therapy dose, and no cell will be alive.
