Apport de l'Évaluation Motrice Fonctionnelle Globale chez l'enfant infirme moteur cérébral

Since 1992 the physical therapists from Escale have used the Gross Motor Function Measure to evaluate the motor capacities of children with cerebral palsy. Physicians treating these children regularly use the results obtained over time to give an objective measure to the parents of the child's progress, to refocus the goals of rehabilitation programs, to assess the value of support equipment or technical aids as well as to determine the value of surgical interventions or injections of botox toxin. The objective of this article is to explain this professional experience using the Gross Motor Function Measure as a tool available to physiotherapists for the quantitative analysis of the motor capacities of children with cerebral palsy.
