Anthocyanins and colonic metabolites of dietary polyphenols inhibit platelet function

These results show that anthocyanins and in vivo metabolites of polyphenols have anti-thrombotic properties, suggesting themselves as well as their dietary sources and precursors as potential cardiovascular health promoters.
