Las dificultades del lenguaje en adolescentes: un reto para la logopedia

Language problems in adolescence is an area of special interest to current Speech Therapy, both for its negative impact on academic performance and for its involvement in social and interpersonal communication. With this report we will make a wake up call for people to study in greater depth the language of adolescents and the implications posed by their disruption to provide speech therapists for assessment and intervention strategies appropriate to the linguistic difficulties, sometimes subtle, that can occur in this population. The public authorities, academic programs, research and professional training must move to reduce or eliminate the cycle of neglect of adolescents with language disorders.
