Entrenamiento en conocimiento fonológico en lengua euskera: estudio de caso único

Phonological awareness is an important predictor of reading development and it can also be trained. Furthermore, studies with bilingualism samples show the cross- language transfer in phonological awareness. In this study it was trained the phonological awareness of A., a four- years-old child, in basque, co-official language in Basque country together with Spanish. Both languages are transparents. The results proved an improvement of the phonological awareness of Basque and a transference of this phonological awareness from Basque to Spanish. Implications of these results are discussed.
