Parathyroidectomy improves neurocognitive deficits in patients with primary hyperparathyroidism

PHPT may be associated with a spatial learning deficit and processing that improves after parathyroidectomy. While longer-term follow-up is necessary, neurocognitive symptoms perhaps should be considered as criteria for parathyroidectomy.
