Discrimination in rental markets: Evidence from Norway

► We analyze a rich data set of rental contracts from Norway. ► Tenants born abroad an economically important premium for their dwelling units. ► Norwegians whose parents were born abroad pay a comparable premium. ► Tenants of African origin pay the highest premium.
