Revisiting the evidence on trade policy preferences

► Previous evidence finds labor market attributes affect individuals' trade policy preferences. ► With the exception of education, I find these relationships are not robust in US survey data. ► Results suggest that labor market proxies are poor or trade theories need to be revisited.
