Investment composition and international business cycles

► We incorporate the observed composition of investments in a two country IRBC model. ► The above model outperforms its competitors along various dimensions. ► It improves the movements of trade balance and relative prices. ► It improves within country comovements of sectoral aggregates. ► The quantity anomaly disappears in the benchmark model.
