Manufacture and test of the non-planar coils for WENDELSTEIN 7-X

All coils will also be tested under cryogenic conditions. The main tests are at nominal current, a quench test by increasing the temperature of the helium, a high voltage test, a pressure and a helium leak test, the measurement of the shrinkage during cool down and the deformations due to electromagnetic forces. The test procedure and the results of the first tests of the coils are also presented.
