Nonlinearities in growth: From evidence to policy

► In this paper we study how to translate evidence of nonlinearities in growth into policy recommendations. ► We describe econometrics methods specifically designed to deliver policy guidance. ► We apply the methods to the debate of efficacy of aid and growth in developing countries. ► Our results firmly reject the conclusion that aid should be given to countries with better policy quality.
