► We discuss a preparation via a single slit within a statistical model of quantization. ► The most likely ensemble selected by a Harmonic slit is inferred. ► The ensemble with the lowest possible average energy is given by the ground state. ► It takes larger energy to collect the particles into a target position with higher precision.
