Pioglitazone-Induced Insulin Sensitization Improves Vascular Endothelial Function in Nondiabetic Patients With Essential Hypertension

The present findings demonstrate that pioglitazone improves endothelial function in nondiabetic hypertensive individuals with insulin resistance, and that the improvement is associated with the amelioration of insulin resistance itself rather than that of hyperglycemia or hyperinsulinemia.
