آشنایی با موضوع

پراکندگی نور دینامیکی (DLS) روشی فیزیکی است که برای تعیین توزیع ذرات موجود در محلول‌ها و سوسپانسیون استفاده می‌شود. این روش غیرمخرب و سریع برای تعیین اندازه ذرات در محدودهٔ چند نانومتر تا میکرون به کار می‌رود. در فناوری‌های اخیر، ذراتی با قطر کمتر از نانومتر نیز با این روش قابل اندازه‌گیری هستند. این روش به برهمکنش نور با ذره بستگی دارد. نور پراکنده شده بوسیله نانوذرات موجود در سوسپانسیون با زمان تغییر می‌کند که می‌تواند به قطر ذره ارتباط داده شود. در یک محلول، برخورد ذرات و مولکول‌های کوچک با مولکول‌های حلال، منجر به حرکت تصادفی مولکول‌ها می‌شود. حرکت ذرات کوچک در یک سیال، حرکت براونی نامیده می‌شود. هر ذره در سوسپانسیون، دائماً در حال حرکت است و حرکتش به ذرات دیگر مرتبط نیست. مشاهدهٔ ذرات بزرگ‌تر در مقایسه با ذرات کوچک‌تر نشان می‌دهد که در دمای ثابت، ذرات بزرگ‌تر بسیار آهسته‌تر حرکت می‌کنند. هنگامی که پرتو لیزر با فرکانس معین به ذرات متحرک برخورد کند، نور با فرکانس متفاوت پخش شده و در فاز نور پخش شده نوسان ایجاد می‌شود. میزان تغییر در فرکانس نور پخش شده با اندازه ذرات ارتباط دارد و برای تعیین اندازهٔ ذرات مورد استفاده قرار می‌گیرد. در سرعت متوسط بیشتر، ذرات کوچک‌تر تغییر بیشتری را در فرکانس نور ایجاد می‌کنند. در روش پراکندگی دینامیکی نور، حرکت براونی ذرات که وابسته به اندازه آن هاست اندازه گیری می شود. به این ترتیب که ذرات توسط نور لیزر تابش داده می شوند و شدت نوسانات نور پراکنده شده مورد آنالیز قرار می گیرد. زمانی که نمونه در محلول پخش می شود، ذرات بسیار کوچک به وسیله مولکول های مایع در جهات مختلف حرکت تصادفی پیدا می کنند و به این ترتیب ذرات بزرگ هم حرکت خواهند کرد، به عنوان مثال مولکول های آب به راحتی می توانند مولکول های چند میکرونی پلی استایرن را حرکت دهند. با وجود این، حرکت ذرات کوچک سریع تر است و فاصله بیش تری را طی می کنند در صورتی که ذرات بزرگ آهسته تر حرکت کرده و در نتیجه فاصله کمتری را طی می کنند. به حرکت تصادفی ذرات درون محلول بر اثر اعمال نیرو از سوی مولکول های حلال، حرکت براونی گفته می شود. تفرق نور دینامیکی با اندازه گیری حرکت براونی ذرات و یا به عبارت دیگر با اندازه گیری میزان جابجایی ذرات درون دیسپرسانت، پی به اندازه آنها می برد. معادله استوکس انیشتین: رایطه بین اندازه ذره و سرعت حرکت براونی آن ها به ضریب نفوذ ذره، وابسته است که توسط معادله استوکس- انیشتین مشخص می گردد. این پدیده اولین بار توسط میکروبیولوژیستی به نام براون کشف شد، به همین علت این حرکت تصادفی ذرات را "حرکت براونی" نامیدند.
