Transthyretin complexes with curcumin and bromo-estradiol: evaluation of solubilizing multicomponent mixtures

- Curcumin and its degradation product ferulic acid bind in the central cavity.
- The position of bromine in 16α-bromo estradiol offers interesting insights for anti-amyloidogenic inhibitors.
- Solubilizing mixed solutions for hydrophobic ligands allow long duration soaking into crystals and act as cryoprotectants.
