Characterization of functionally active immobilized carbonic anhydrase purified from sheep blood lysates

► Lyophilized sheep blood lysates from slaughter house waste was used as a source of carbonic anhydrase purification. ► Affinity pure enzyme was purified using Affigel-10 immobilized carbonic anhydrase specific inhibitor. ► Comparative studies of kinetic parameters of free and immobilized carbonic anhydrase were carried out. ► Using immobilized carbonic anhydrase a continuous flow reactor for carbon dioxide capture has been developed. ► Application of enzymatic capture of carbon dioxide.
