Biologically synthesized green silver nanoparticles from leaf extract of Vitex negundo L. induce growth-inhibitory effect on human colon cancer cell line HCT15

► Green synthesis of silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) using V. negundo leaf is an eco-friendly and easy process. ► Synthesized AgNPs were characterized by UV-vis, FTIR, FESEM and TEM. ► Cytotoxic effect of AgNPs against HCT15 cancer cell line was noted. ► AgNPs-induced DNA damage and growth arrest in cancer cell line HCT15.
