Exploring the thermal stability of α-chymotrypsin in protic ionic liquids

► Synthesis of alkyl ammonium ionic liquids (ILs). ► We have studied the interactions between α-chymotrypsin with ILs. ► We have used biophysical techniques including CD and fluorescence. ► All ILs acted as stabilizer for native α-chymotrypsin structure. ► TMAP is strong stabilizer for α-chymotrypsin.
