Manganese(III) corrole catalyzed selective oxidation of alcohols to carbonyl compounds by tert-butyl hydroperoxide under mild condition

►Mn(III) corroles catalyze oxidation of alcohols with t-BuOOH at room temperature. ►Presence of electron-withdrawing groups on the corroles enhances catalytic activity. ►Perbrominated Mn(III) corrole catalyst showed better catalytic performances.
