On the behaviour of solutions of xenon in liquid cycloalkanes: Solubility of xenon in cyclopentane

► The solubility of xenon in cyclopentane has been measured as a function of temperature. ► The Gibbs energy, enthalpy, entropy and heat capacity for de dissolution process have been calculated. ► The interaction enthalpy between xenon and CH2 groups in n-alkanes and cycloalkanes have been estimated and compared. ► The soft-SAFT theory was used to model and interpret the results.
