Cold start and fuel consumption of a vehicle fuelled with blends of diesel oil-soybean biodiesel-ethanol

► There are no cold start problems for engine operation with 20% of soybean biodiesel. ► Increasing ethanol concentration in B20 fuel blend causes increased cold start time. ► Blends with 20% of soybean biodiesel in diesel oil do not in crease fuel consumption. ► The addition of 2% of ethanol to B20 blend does not affect fuel consumption. ► When ethanol concentration is increased to 5% fuel consumption is also increased.
